Low frequencies, inaudible to the human ear, set a black screen into a subtle, pulsating motion.
Listen to the artists in English:
Vibrations generated by electromagnetic pulses are transformed into a tangible and dynamic form. It is a play between the static and the dynamic – image and space are in constant flux, and viewers, standing before the screen, become part of the kinetic interaction.
Structures reflect off the mirrored surface, transforming into elusive, ephemeral compositions that merge the external dynamics of the city with the perspective of an acoustically isolated interior – a minimalist space, restrained in form yet massive in scale, featuring a 24-meter black Corian wall.
In this unique environment, not only can you hear the sound – its vibrations become visible and tangible. Low frequencies move the screen, altering how space reflects and absorbs light. This installation turns sound into an image, where the visual becomes an expression of the auditory.
IP Group [Identity Problem Group] is a studio specializing in projects at the intersection of contemporary artistic disciplines, where technology serves as a unifying element – merging sound, visual, and performing arts with architectural space. The primary focus of IP Group’s practice is designing and executing installations that evoke significant sensory experiences and stimulate imagination through multimedia actions. The group specializes in techniques that create immersive phenomena, utilizing spatial objects, sound, and light.
IP Group is an interdisciplinary collective with Bogumił Misala, Jakub Lech, and Dominika Kluszczyk as members. They combine their expertise and experience in sound production, interaction design, visual arts, curatorial practice, and audience engagement.
A long-term area of exploration for IP Group is the pursuit of complementarity and synergy between cutting-edge technological solutions and the still-unexhausted potential of analog tools.
Since 2014, IP Group has run IP Studio in Wrocław, an independent space dedicated to creative processes and experimentation in the field of media arts.
