This year’s eleventh Best Media Art Graduation Projects Competition, jointly organized by the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw and WRO Art Center, continues cooperation between higher education institutions with different models of media art education.

The project aims to share the teaching experience in this field at eight public art academies in Poland and to promote their graduates. Eight works representing each school were selected during the deliberations of independent selection committees from graduation projects created at the faculties of new media in Krakow, Warsaw, Szczecin, Lodz, Katowice, Poznan, Gdansk, and Wroclaw.

The works will be presented in an international context, among the works of the 21st Media Art Biennale WRO 2025 Qualia in the following locations: PIEKARNIA Living Culture, National Forum of Music, IP Studio, and WRO Art Center.

Being among the eight selected nominations is already a kind of distinction. From them, an international jury will choose the best work to award with the main prize of 20 thousand PLN, funded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. The verdict will be announced during the opening walk on May 15, 2025. The selected person will also get awarded with an article in Format magazine about their artistic practice. The editors of Notes for 6 Weeks will award one artist with an interview in its printed version.
