This workshop delves into “objets sonores” (sound objects), a concept introduced by Pierre Schaeffer through the practices of listening and recording. Schaeffer’s exploration of sound as material in the field of acousmatics will serve as a foundation for our exploration of electroacoustic techniques, along with practices of deep listening.
We will focus on analyzing both individual and collective perceptions. In small groups, we will record the sounds of various sound objects – either brought from elsewhere or discovered on-site – using digital and analog methods, including audio cassettes.
